Drive less Pay Less are some of the concepts which are gaining ground due to rising fuel costs and increasing traffic congestions. The concept of underwriting on the basis of make model and carrying capacity do not provide equal ground. The Supreme Court of India has recommended the Government to provide identical grounds to all users of vehicles on the basis of its use by mulling on petrol cess or kilometer traversed by a vehicle.
Drive other car (DOC) endorsement
A business auto or garage policy endorsement providing coverage for named individuals while driving nonowned autos in situations unrelated to the business of the insured.
Drive Other Car Coverage
Liability coverage that may be added to an organizations Motor Policy extending liability coverage to individuals named in the endorsement, such as employees, while they are driving cars which neither they nor the organization own.

Drive other car coverage can be added to the Business Auto Policy (BAP) to provide coverage for employees of a firm who are supplied a company car but do not own a personal vehicle and therefore do not have a personal auto policy. The endorsement extends coverage for the named individual or spouse when driving a car borrowed from a third party. (See Business Auto Policy).

Driver Capability for Motor
A system that evaluates driver’s aptitude and shuts down the vehicle when incompetence is detected. Technology exists that measures a driver’s fitness and issues warnings when a driver is judged overly tired or impaired. The system remembers a driver’s normal behavior behind the wheel and establishes it as the driver’s baseline profile. Continually measuring factors such as speed, lateral acceleration, steering wheel angle, pedal use and so forth, the system determines if there is any deviation from the baseline. If so, it alerts the driver visually and audibly that it’s break time. Even external influences such as crosswind and road surface are factored in.
Driver training credit
To encourage driver education courses at schools and colleges, many insurers grant premium rebates to applicants for private passenger automobile insurance who have successfully completed an approved training program.
