Extended Coverage Endorsement/Insurance
(i) Endorsement which extends a Policy to cover the perils of windstorm, hail, explosion, riot, riot attending a strike, aircraft damage, vehicle damage and smoke damage. (ii) In certain health policies, provision which allows the insured to receive benefits for specified losses sustained after the termination of other coverage.
Extended death benefit
Insurance policy provision in a group life contract stating that if the insured is totally and continuously disabled, then from the date the insured ceases paying premiums until the date of his or her death, the insurance company will pay the amount of insurance at the date of stoppage of premium payments provided that death occurs within 1 year of the date of cessation of premium payments and before the insured’s sixty-fifth birthday.
Extended death benefit (Life Insurance)
A group policy clause that pays out a life insurance benefit if the insured is disabled from the time premiums are no longer paid, until death. This benefit will also be paid if the insured dies within a year of the end of premiums being paid.

Extended Non-owned Coverage
Endorsement that can be added to an automobile liability insurance policy that covers the insured while driving any non owned automobile on a regular basis.
Extended non-owner liability (Vehicle Insurance)
An attachment to an automobile policy that provides coverage for the insured while driving vehicles he or she does not own on a regular basis. It also covers vehicles used to transport people or property for profit and vehicles used for business.
Extended nonowner liability
A personal auto policy endorsement that provides broader liability coverage for specifically named individuals. When attached, it covers nonowned autos furnished for the regular use of an insured, use of vehicles to carry persons or property for a fee, broader coverage for business use of vehicles.
