Definition:
The viewing gallery is the name for all the people who sit silently on corporate bridges or in online meetings.
Explanation:
In the corporate world, where it is easy to invite and attend a virtual meeting and where there is a constant need to add more and more people to the CC list for butt covering purposes, you often end up with a huge silent audience at a meeting when there are only 2 or 3 active individuals, This group of people is called ‘the viewing gallery’.
