GAP coverage
Guaranteed Auto Protection. Insurance for a lessee designed to cover the difference in selling price between a vehicle’s actual cash value and the payout left on a lease. This coverage is often available for loan situations as well.

Gapfilling
Term used when no comparable, existing test is available. Insurance carrier specific amounts are used to establish a national limitation amount for the following year.

A form of insurance similar to bailee’s insurance. Covers a garage owner against liability for damages done to vehicles in their care or custody.
