State public health clinic
Health facility maintained by either state or local health departments that provides ambulatory primary medical care under the general direction of a physician. Also called local public health clinic .
State Second Pension (S2P)
Replaced SERPS in 2002 providing a more generous additional state pension for low and moderate earners and certain carers and people with long-term disability. S2P gives employees earning up to £24,600 (2002/3 terms) an improvement over SERPS whether or not contracted out. Most help goes to persons in the lowest of three earning bands, i.e. up to £10,800.
State survey
Under §1864 of the Act, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has entered into agreements with agencies of state governments, typically the agency that licenses health facilities within the state health departments, to conduct surveys of Medicare participating providers and suppliers for purposes of determining compliance with Medicare requirements for participation in the Medicare program.
State survey agency
State agency that inspects renal dialysis facilities and makes sure that Medicare standards are met.
State Uniform Billing Committee
State-specific affiliate of the National Uniform Billing Committee (NUBC) that developed the Uniform Bill (UB-92) insurance claim form for hospital inpatient billing and payment transactions in use from 1994. It replaced the Uniform Bill (UB-82) claim form that was also referred to as HCFA-1450 claim form . The Uniform Bill (UB-92) was replaced by the Uniform Bill (UB-04) claim form in 2008.
State unit on aging
State office authorized by the Older Americans Act that administers the plan for service to the aged and coordinates programs for the aged with other state offices.
Stated amount
Amends the valuation clause on a policy to include an amount that is stated as the value of the item(s) being insured. Usually, these policies pay the lesser of the actual cash value of the damaged property, the cost of repairing or replacing the property, or the stated amount.

Stated amount (Property Insurance)
The amount shown on an insurance policy. It is the amount both parties to the contract have agreed will be paid should a total loss occur.
