Certified Nurse Administrator (CNA)

Registered nurse (RN) who holds an administrative position at the nurse manager level or nurse executive level in a health care organization, is responsible for the proper allocation of available resources to provide efficient and effective nursing care, and who possesses evidence of certification by passing a nurse administration certification examination by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM)

(as defined by the American College of Nurse-Midwives) “an individual educated in the two disciplines of nursing and midwifery, who possesses evidence of certification according to the requirements of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.” This individual may be a registered professional nurse who is licensed in the state and legally authorized to practice as a CNM.

Certified Professional in Health Information Technology (CP Health IT)

Certification provides professional training and certification for those responsible for planning, selecting, implementing, and managing electronic health records (EHR) and other health information technology (HIT). CPHIT designation indicates that the holder has mastered the common body of knowledge for an electronic health records professional and, in addition, has evidenced expertise in a variety of health information technology applications including CPOE and electronic prescribing.
