Accidental damage excess

An alternative term for excessive damage. It is the excess in the loss or damage section of comprehensive motor policies and applies only to claims involving the insured vehicle’s loss or damage. In the case of loss or damage caused by fire or theft, the excess is waived. All auto policies include an accidental damage excess for young and inexperienced drivers.

e-cart or e-rickshaw Insurance

A new type of vehicle introduced is “e -cart” or “e-rickshaw” by Motor Vehicle Amendment Act 2015. “e -cart” or “e-rickshaw” means a special purpose battery powered vehicle of power not exceeding 4000 watts having three wheels for carrying goods or passengers, as the case may be, for hire or reward, manufactured, constructed or adapted, equipped and maintained in accordance with such specifications, as may be prescribed in this behalf. The Driving Licence to drive “e -cart” or “e-rickshaw” shall be issued in such manner and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed.
