Informed consent

The patient must acknowledge that he or she understands what choices are available, what the risks associated with each option are, and the information relayed. Informed consent is required before performing most invasive procedures and before admitting a patient to a research study. A signed permission document is obtained from a patient to perform a specific test or procedure.

Ingestion damage

Aircraft damage caused when foreign objects (e.g. stones from runway, birds) are drawn into the airtake by the suction of the engine and rotate around in contact with the rotating compressor blades. The risk applies mainly to turbo-jet and turbo-propeller engines. Even slight damage necessitates completes stripping of the engine. The aircraft policy covers the damage subject to a sizeable excess but excludes progressive deterioration. Cover responds to sudden damage necessitating immediate repair.

Inherent

The result of a hazard which is commonly rising from the occupancy of a structure such as the water heater of a residence blowing up or exploding.

Inherent Explosion

A violent and noisy bursting caused by the normal processing such as to be found in operation of certain type of pressing operation, e.g., explosion of a hot water heater in a residence would be inherent explosion and is covered by the terms of a standard Fire Insurance Policy.
