temporary disability (TD)

1. Recovery period following a work-related injury during which the employee is unable to work and the condition has not stabilized. TD can be overcome by medical treatment or rehabilitation. 2. Schedule of benefits payable for the temporary disability based on the earnings of the injured worker at the time of injury with statutory minimum and maximum rates; temporary compensation (e.g., “TD was paid.”). 3.
