Social worker

Individual who has obtained a degree in social work, has met the requirements of being supervised in the clinical social work, has obtained state licensure or certification, and provides a wide variety of social services in many types of health care settings. The National Association of Social Workers (NASW) classifies several levels of social work positions in two groups: preprofessional and professional. Some types of social workers are caseworkers, child welfare caseworker, clinical social worker, eligibility worker, family counselor, industrial social worker, licensed social worker, medical social worker, psychiatric social worker, public health social worker, registered social worker, school social worker, social group worker, social service caseworker, and social welfare administrator.
