Private Cars/Motorized Two wheelers/commercial Vehicles rates as Taxes (not exceeding 6 passengers) Zone A :Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and PuneZone B :Rest of IndiaCommercial Vehicles other than vehicles covered above: Zone A : Chennai, Delhi/New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai Zone B :All other State Capitals Zone C : Rest of India These broad outlines of zoning are followed by insurers. Some insurers have formed further sub-zones based on their claim experience, e.g., Commercial vehicles and two-wheelers in major cities are classed for higher zones than above or sub-classed with higher-rate than the class they fall under.
